CIEH (New) Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (1day)
New and completely revised qualification to replace the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene.
This qualification will benefit anyone working in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations – for example, pubs, hotels, restaurants, travel, contract catering, fast-food outlets, schools, prisons and armed forces. More information

RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (1day)
Supercedes the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene: Option A .
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a qualification that covers the basic principles of food hygiene for caterers and other food handlers. It is valuable as a freestanding qualification or as an addition for people following other training programmes.
The qualification is firmly based on the Level 2 National Occupational Standards developed by People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for the hospitality industry, and conforms to the qualification template developed by RSPH and other awarding bodies under the guidance of People 1st.
Holders of qualifications based on this specification will have a knowledge and understanding of; the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. More information

RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing (1day)
Supercedes the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene: Option B
This is a qualification that covers the basic principles of food hygiene for food operatives working in the food and drink manufacturing industry. Holders of qualifications based on this specification will have a knowledge and understanding of; the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems.
These topics are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food. More information

RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail (1day)
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail is a qualification that covers the basic principles of food safety for food handlers working in the food retail industry. The qualification is firmly based on the National Occupational Standards developed by Skillsmart, Retail the Sector Skills Council for the industry, and conforms to the qualification template developed by RSPH and other awarding bodies under the guidance of Skillsmart Retail. RSPH Level 1 Certificate in Food Hygiene Awareness (Half day)
This Course is recommended for all food handlers in catering, retail, manufacturing, health and social care. It has also been designed to help the food and catering industries to provide training to a safe level for those who perform "low risk" tasks such as clearing tables, maintaining stores, "meals on wheels" and other such similar duties. CIEH Level 3 Award in Implementing Food Safety Management Procedures (One day)
From 1 January 2006, EU legislation requires all businesses producing food to have a documented food safety management system in place, based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles. The CIEH Level 3 Award in Implementing Food Safety Management Procedures qualification examines HACCP and tools such as SFBBand others and will be invaluable for managers and proprietors of small and medium sized catering and hospitality businesses. Changes in legislation effective from January 2006 have placed greater onus and accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility.
